The Hopkins Law Firm recently settled a case for $370,000.00 for a couple who was in a rear-end car accident by a delivery truck in Horry County, South Carolina.

Our clients were traveling on Highway 707 in October of 2020 when a delivery truck driver, rear-ended the couple. The wife sustained a significant bladder injury, which her neurosurgeon determined was caused by a fracture of her cervical spine, which was impinging on the nerves going to her lower body.

Her injuries forced her husband to provide almost around-the-clock care to her for doctor's appointments, recovery, and to perform basic hygiene. Ultimately, the wife required a significant neck surgery, which also led to a long recovery.

The delivery truck driver was driving too fast for conditions and following too closely, and had a prior history of causing accidents and failing to follow driver safety laws.
