The Hopkins Law Firm, LLC, was founded on April 1, 2013, when the owner Bill Hopkins left the law practice of a large, national law firm in Montgomery, Alabama, and relocated to Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Bill is a native South Carolinian and has owned a home in Litchfield by the Sea for a number of years. The firm is conveniently located on Highway 17 (Ocean Highway) right between Pawleys Island and Litchfield Beach at the intersection of Highway 17 and Martin Luther King Highway.
Experience That Makes A Difference
Bill Hopkins leads our firm with more than 20 years of experience handling civil cases, including serving as lead counsel in 84 cases that have gone to jury verdict. This is a level of trial experience which you simply will not find in the surrounding areas. Bill's trial experience sets him apart from other local attorneys.
Clay Hopkins joined his father in the practice in 2015, upon graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Clay served as the executive editor of The Journal of the Legal Profession, where he gained valuable litigation experience. Clay is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Horry County Bar Association, the Georgetown County Bar Association, the South Carolina Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
